ONA, Local Media Association to offer training on selling to SMBs

The Local Media Association and the Ohio Newspaper Association will offer a five-part webinar series to ONA members in February and March to help sales reps find new revenue with small business accounts.

“Selling to SMBs in Today’s Competitive Landscape” will be led by the LMA’s Mike Martoccia, a veteran trainer and consultant who directed sales teams responsible for retail, digital, and marketing at The Charlotte Observer and McClatchy, and regional advertising and marketing director for Community Newspaper Holdings.

Topics are as follows:

  • Webinar 1 - Prospecting and Latest Social Selling Techniques to reach SMBs
  • Webinar 2 - Preparing For and Conducting An Effective Needs Analysis
  • Webinar 3 - Reaching The SMB Customer At The Right Place & Time/ Using Local Data
  • Webinar 4 - Digital Media Solutions for SMBs: Tactical Uses of Social and Online Platforms & Role Of Reputation Management
  • Webinar 5 (Bonus Session) - How To Set Up A Local SMB Digital Advertising Workshop & Revenue-Generating Best Practices

“There’s huge potential with small business accounts in all our communities, so we’re really excited to offer this high-quality training at affordable pricing from one of our industry’s most innovative and respected organizations,” said ONA Executive Director Dennis Hetzel.

Pricing will be  $99 per session or $349 for four sessions.  Those who attend four sessions will receive the fifth session free.

Times and registration information will be announced soon.  Dates for the 45-minute sessions will be Feb. 18 and 26, and March 4, 11 and 18.
